At $69.95 per line they're a bargain in today's fly line world. As to the line handling bigger dry flies: leader length and taper are more likely to determine how the fly turns over on a river 25' wide than any modern fly line designed for a 3 weight.

At the end of the day any boat is a compromise. That being said, I just got a new Kodiak with the Fly Fishing Show discount to replace my 20+ year old Water Master with the updated Kodiak design.
